I learned to knit in college when I was a fashion design major, but only learned the very basic knit stitch from my professor. Despite hours of searching, I couldn't find clear, comprehensive instructions that actually worked for beginners.

I was a knitter first, before there were YouTube tutorials, so I learned from books and magazines. I'd buy patterns only to discover they were filled with confusing terminology and assumed I already knew techniques I was trying to learn. (Hello, Vogue Knitting!!)

Even worse, I kept finding beautiful patterns with harsh restrictions: "DO NOT SELL ITEMS MADE FROM THIS PATTERN." As a crafter who dreamed of potentially selling my creations at local markets, I felt limited.

That's when I decided to create a solution.

With 15 years of teaching experience in the classroom, I applied those same educational principles to knitting. I created patterns that were truly beginner-friendly, with every step explained clearly.

And I made one promise to myself: every pattern I created would ALWAYS allow crafters to sell their finished items.

What started as my personal solution has now grown into a thriving business helping thousands of knitters break through challenges and create beautiful pieces they're proud of.
